WWII GERMAN BUCKLE - RAD
The RAD was a paramilitary organization during the Third Reich. Membership to the organization was mandatory for men of age 18.
This is a WWII German buckle. As used by the RAD during the war. Of aluminum construction. The design of the buckle consisted of a heavily pebbled body. Notice the sharpness of the pebbling. high quality and deep.
Two circles were formed in the center. one inside of the other. The outer ciRcle has a solid line forming it. The inner circle is created by the use of multiple dots. The space between the two cicles is filled with multiple circular lines broken by five sections of wheat, evenly spaced.
The inside of the inner most circle has the emblem of the RAD, which consisted of a shovel head pointing upwards with a swastika in the center.
